Staying at Red Gate Inn was a delightful experience. Paul and Sharon really know how to make guests feel at home. The Desert Rose room, with its spacious layout and the amazing en-suite bathroom, truly enhanced our stay. The large soaking tub and shower felt heavenly after a day of travel. We appreciated the custom touches, like homemade lavender bubble bath and comfortable bedding—it truly felt like sleeping on clouds. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring fresh fruits, delicious pastries, and perfectly made eggs. Paul’s enthusiasm in showing us around the inn made us feel welcomed right away. It was charming to walk from the inn to downtown McKinney for dinner, with the neighborhood feeling safe and friendly. The vibrant history and unique antiques around the inn provided fascinating insights into the past. However, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. I noticed that there were limitations on parking and occasional noise from other guests could be heard. Some areas might benefit from updated maintenance. Still, these were minor issues compared to the wonderful hospitality and high-quality amenities we enjoyed. If I find myself back in McKinney, I won't hesitate to return to this lovely inn.
